Winter Forest

The essence of the winter forest

Is human and divine.

Its emptiness is overwhelming

In its fullness.

Its love is sweetened by sorrow

And its sorrow is purified by love.

Its silence is deafening

With voices muted by cold but

The trees are full of love and patience and can

Heal our hearts from hurt and loss if only we will ask.

Yet, most perceive only what they want to see and miss the beauty of the winter forest,

Lift the veil and see the truth,

Can’t  you hear it calling?

    1. I really am, finally, only a little back sliding today but thanks to Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now, my entire outlook is changing, I am still sad but for different reasons and at a different level, hard to explain but feeling so much better, no longer sick physically… not all gone but really getting there… hugs, M.

      1. I know the feeling. This morning I wanted to call him so badly and tell him I missed him, but didn’t. I have had some revelations over the past few days that really helped me to understand so much of what made no sense to me, regarding the close connection I have with him. It made it harder, but easier. The Power of Now was one of the first books of that kind I ever read, and it had a profound effect on my life. I was going through my divorce, and I remember reading the chapter on Surrender, and laying the book down and sobbing….. So glad you’re finding your way. Much love to you. xoxo
